Kite buggying - boarding: Purley Way, London Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 10 - 20mph Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered:
a really excellent session, the wind was horribly turbulent, and at first i
almost packed it in cos the kite just kept folding in half and being really
awkward. but i kept at it, and things got better. not the wind, but my
ability to handle the folding kite got better, and i suddenly started to be
able to move the board around so much better than i've ever done before. it
was like a forced board skills lesson, the kite would fold in half, then
reopen randomly somewhere, so you needed to concentrate.
by the end of the 90 minutes i'd done over 8km, more than i've ever done in
a session, and felt great! even though the wind wasn't great, i'll give
this 5 stars cos its one of my best sessions ever. can't wait for a good
session on a beach soon :)
p.s. frenzys are great kites...
